The section of the Downeast Sunrise Trail connecting Blackwoods Road and Cards Crossing takes about thirty minutes to walk, round-trip. Parking is available off Blackwoods Road.
Things to keep in mind:
- The Downeast Sunrise Trail is a multi-use trail with a gravelly surface. Wear sturdy footwear.
- The trail is popular with ATV users. Yield to ATV traffic, and be prepared for the mud and dust they may kick up.
- This section of the trail takes you through the woods. Consider using bug spray in-season, and never touch, harass, or feed any wildlife you might see!
- If you have health concerns, ask your doctor if adding a thirty minute walk into your daily routine is a good idea.
